British locomotives have become an occasional sight in Europe with much credit going to the Channel Tunnel, new infrastructure works and more recently pan European operators.

This BR Class 92 in DB Cargo Romania livery which was originally built for use in and around the Channel Tunnel was first numbered and named 92012 "Thomas Hardy". Although now operating in Romania this locomotive was consequently designed so that it could operate at both ends of the Channel Tunnel and was equipped with four different power systems. At three million Pounds each, the Class 92 locomotives were the most expensive ever built in Britain and all of which, including 92012 still display the Tunnel Roundels and of course the BR Arrows.

This model is the first of several that will form part of an occasional range of British locomotives operating on Foreigh shores.
